There are two major changes I would make of we were going to launch our rocket again.  One thing I would do to help our parachute come out easier is attach another smaller parachute on top of the big one.  This would come out easier than the big parachute.  When the small one was pulled out, it would drag and bring out the big parachute to slow down the egg.  This smaller parachute's main goal would be to get the big parachute out of the half cut bottle.  The other change I would make would be to take away the tape from the parachute to the full bottle.  After launching the rocket, I think the parachute would maybe have been able to come out on it's own without the help of the full bottle pulling it.  Also this would have insured that the two bottles separate from each other. This would have lead to our rocket going higher since we had already added weight to the nose to go higher.  These two changes would have helped the rocket go higher and keep the egg safer.
